  1. Fixes for UMail/Light
  2. ---------------------
  3. The following 3 DLL files will be available
  4. on the IBM OpenNetwork from January'95
  5.  
  6. In order to make these files available sooner,
  7. for those people who need tem urgently, I have
  8. created this file and put in in the OS/2 Forum
  9.  
  10. Please replace the 3 DLL's in the \tcpip\umail directory
  11.  
  12. OBJMLE   DLL        17,977 19/12/94   17:00
  13. PIPETCP  DLL        18,143 21/12/94   15:38
  14. POP      DLL        10,146 21/12/94   18:18

  16. The new PIPETCP.DLL will solve the error messages (in the UMAIL.LOG)        
  17. [ PIPETCP.C: 434]  2 E PIPETCP: 
  18. (PipeOpen,606) MapErrorCode iprc=10065(default)->rc=109
  19.         
  20. The new POP.DLL will solve the error messages (in the UMAIL.LOG)        
  21. [     POP.C: 182]  2 E pop_initialize: can't open pipe: ulRC=109
  22.  
  23. The new OBJMLE.DLL will solve MIME, attachements and cut&paste problems
  24.  
  25. Please Note that (espacially for UMail) I can safely say that running
  26. OS/2 - TCPIP - UMAIL in a HPFS partition is a much better/safer set-up
  27. to use.......

  29. Running OS/2 - TCPIP - UMAIL in a seperate FAT partition is after 
  30. implementing the above mentioned DLL's also a great improvement
  31.  
  32. Running OS/2 in the same (FAT) partition as Dos/Windows HAS NOT BEEN
  33. TESTED AGAINST/WITH THESE NEW DLL's
  34.
